Nintendo Ends Switch Game Voucher Program: What You Need to Know

Nintendo has decided to permanently cease the sale of its Switch Game Vouchers, a program that offered Nintendo Switch Online members the chance to save on first-party titles. Under this initiative, players could purchase two game vouchers for $100, thereby enjoying a discount of $10 on each game priced at $60. However, effective January 30, 2026, no new vouchers will be available, although existing ones will remain valid for the time being.

This voucher program was a rare opportunity for discounts on Nintendo's first-party games, which are typically priced at a premium. Despite some limitations—including a one-year expiration and the necessity of an active Nintendo Switch Online membership—players found it to be a dependable means of saving a bit on their favorite titles.
