Orlando Pirates defender Nkosinathi Sibisi anticipates a challenging MTN8 final against Stellenbosch.
Pirates are set to face Stellenbosch in their fourth consecutive MTN8 final at Mbombela Stadium this Saturday at 18:00.
This match is a rematch of last season's final, where Pirates secured a 3-1 victory amidst controversy.
Sibisi acknowledges the challenge of the upcoming encounter but expresses confidence in the team's preparation.
“The preparations for the game against Stellenbosch have gone very well, and it’s good to be back with the guys, training again,” commented Sibisi.
Looking ahead to the match, he stated, “We know it’s going to be a very difficult encounter, but we’re looking forward to it, and we are hopeful that we will get the results on Saturday.”
As the newly appointed captain of the club, Sibisi emphasized that he does not feel individual pressure to win the trophy.
“No, no, no, there is no sort of pressure. I think it’s for us as a group, not only for me as an individual,” he explained.
“I’ve been part of the success of the club, winning five trophies, and to do it one more time, it will be special with this special group of players. So there’s no pressure on my side, it’s for everyone, not just for me.”
