Golden Arrows attacker Nduduzo Sibiya offers advice to Siyanda Ndlovu on handling pressure.
Sibiya emphasizes that being targeted is part of the game for players who are excelling.
He encourages Ndlovu to adopt a smarter approach in matches, noting that defenders will likely start to target him.
Recently, Ndlovu earned recognition as the Betway Premiership Player of the Month and Goal of the Month for October.
At just 23 years old, he has been crucial for Abafana Bes’thende, netting three goals and assisting three times over a recent five-match span.
His standout Goal of the Month was scored against Stellenbosch, showcasing his skill and composure.
Despite this achievement, Ndlovu has not scored since, coinciding with the team's recent loss streak.
Sibiya points out that Ndlovu's current form makes him a target: "If you are quick and skilful, defenders will try to kick you."
He advises Ndlovu to remain consistent in his gameplay while making minor adjustments to evade tight marking.
Reflecting on his own experience, Sibiya recalls a memorable moment in the 2016/17 Nedbank Cup: a deft maneuver against Mamelodi Sundowns that led to a goal.
He notes the mentoring role of coach Mandla Ncikazi during that time, helping him focus amid transfer rumors.
"Distractions like that are common, especially during high-stakes matches," Sibiya concluded.
