Bafana Bafana forward Sinoxolo Kwayiba is buzzing with excitement as he marks his return to Premier Soccer League side Chippa United after a brief spell with Orlando Pirates. Kwayiba is rallying the fans to support the Eastern Cape club as they strive to rise from the bottom of the league table.
The 25-year-old striker joined Orlando Pirates at the start of the 2025/26 season alongside fellow players Sipho Mbule and Oswin Appollis. However, he found it challenging to secure playing time, making just four appearances under coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, who took charge of the Sea Robbers during the summer.
During his previous tenure at Chippa United, Kwayiba netted an impressive seven goals in 28 matches. Now, the club is counting on him to rediscover that scoring touch and help them evade relegation this season.
Kwayiba's Heartfelt Plea to Fans
With Chippa United currently at the bottom of the league, Kwayiba made an emotional appeal to the club's supporters in his first comments since departing Pirates.
“Hello everyone, I’m Sinoxolo Kwayiba. I used to play for Orlando Pirates, but I’m now back at Chippa United, the club I played for previously,”
he said during a media interaction.
“I’m thrilled to be back home. Let’s stand behind Chippa United and fight together. Personally, I want to work hard to earn my spot in the team so I can contribute on the pitch,”
Kwayiba added, emphasizing the importance of unity.
He went on to say,
“What I really want to say is, please, support Chippa United. We are determined to fight this season, and that’s the message I wanted to share,”
highlighting his commitment to the team's success.
In closing, Kwayiba urged fans to rally together, stating,
“I’m back at Chippa United, ready to battle in this league. We need your support, so please stand with us. Thank you.”
His passionate call to action is sure to inspire supporters as they embark on the new season.
