During an electrifying NBA matchup on Monday night, Snoop Dogg was in the broadcast booth adding his unique flair while the Los Angeles Clippers faced off against the Golden State Warriors. As tempers flared, Warriors coach Steve Kerr was ejected after expressing his displeasure over some controversial calls in the fourth quarter, leading to a dramatic scene on the court.
“Back him up, back him up, GP, back him up, Steve,” Snoop exclaimed amid the chaos. “Steve backing… Inglewood right now. Inglewood, G, Steve. You and Inglewood, Steve. The Arizona Wildcat that came out and looked at it. Back him up.”
The Shade Room shared a clip of this hilarious incident, quickly going viral as fans laughed at Snoop's colorful commentary. “Watching this game last night was too entertaining with his commentary,” one fan remarked, while another said, “I need more Snoop commentary for the games maybe I would tune back in.”
Why Was Steve Kerr Ejected?
The tipping point for Kerr came when John Collins made a crucial block on a layup from Gary Payton II, a call Kerr believed should have been a goaltending violation. This incident spiraled into further frustration as Steph Curry was subsequently called for his fifth foul during an intense fast break for the Clippers. Following the game, league crew chief Brian Forte confirmed the referees had erred.
“The shot by [Gary] Payton hit the backboard prior to being touched by Collins. It should have been ruled a goaltending violation,” Forte clarified, according to ESPN. “However, the only way it could have been reviewed was if it was initially called on the floor and the Clippers challenged it, which they didn’t since it was not within the last two minutes of the game.”
After all the drama, the Warriors narrowly lost to the Clippers with a score of 102-103, now holding a record that places them in 8th in the Western Conference.
