Sundowns Sealing Their First Portuguese Signing With More to Come

Mamelodi Sundowns Complete Their Third Signing of the Season

The club has officially announced the signing of Nuno Santos, a Portuguese international, as they make their moves on the final day of the PSL transfer window. Santos joins the team after a reported transfer fee exceeding R20 million was agreed upon with Vitória SC.

About Nuno Santos and Previous Signings

The 26-year-old, who previously played for Benfica's under-19 team, played a pivotal role in the Portugal national squads that clinched the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2015/16 and the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2017/18.

Nuno Santos marks the third addition to Sundowns this season, following Katlego Ntsabeleng from FC Dallas on loan and Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch.

Looking Ahead: A Possible Fourth Signing

The club is also eyeing another Portuguese talent, Miguel Reisinho. As Reisinho is currently a free agent after departing from Boavista at the season's end, there is no rush to finalize this transfer before the window closes. Reports indicate that he has traveled to South Africa to conclude the deal.
