Kaizer Chiefs forward Tashreeq Morris is reportedly on the cusp of a significant loan transfer to rival club Stellenbosch FC.
The dynamic 31-year-old joined Amakhosi earlier this year after moving from the now-defunct SuperSport United in January 2025, but his journey at the club has been rocky. Morris has faced challenges in cementing his position, with a mere 11 appearances for the team—nine in the Betway Premiership and one each in the Nedbank Cup and Carling Knockout Cup, all without finding the back of the net.
His gameplay has been further impacted by injury setbacks, notably a severe injury sustained in March of last season, limiting him to just one match in the ongoing campaign.
Recent sources suggest that Morris is now on the radar of Stellenbosch FC, especially following the appointment of Gavin Hunt as head coach, replacing Steve Barker. Hunt, having a history of collaboration with Morris at SuperSport United, previously attempted to bring him to Durban City, although that move never materialized.
Despite the impending loan transfer, Morris is still under contract with Kaizer Chiefs until June 2027, having inked a two-and-a-half-year deal upon his arrival in January last year.
