This year marks the 15th anniversary of Re-Logic's beloved title, Terraria, and the developer is continuing to roll out fresh content. After months of anticipation, the release date for the upcoming update, Terraria 1.4.5, is now confirmed for later this month.
According to the official announcement from Re-Logic, Terraria 1.4.5 will debut on January 27. The studio explained that minor delays occurred due to the need to resubmit some elements for review.
While a complete list of features in the update has not been revealed, the developers have teased several enhancements through monthly updates. Notably, villagers will now appear in the game without needing a home, although they will request that players construct one for them.
One exciting addition in Terraria 1.4.5 is the new RC Car, inspired by the Kwad Racer Drone. This allows players to zoom around their worlds and even scale backwalls. Customizable racetracks are part of the excitement, and Re-Logic encourages players to share their creations.
Last summer, a cross-collaboration with Palworld integrated Terraria themes into that game. As a delightful return gesture, Terraria 1.4.5 will incorporate elements from Palworld, including the confirmed character Digtoise, who supports players during mining efforts. More Pals will be introduced soon.
In addition to new features, Re-Logic has indicated that approximately 900 bugs will be addressed in this update, alongside various other tweaks that enhance gameplay. More information will be forthcoming as the January 27 release date approaches.
