Tottenham Hotspur striker Alejo Veliz could become part of City Football Group by the end of the transfer window, according to reports.
Spurs secured 22-year-old Veliz from Rosario Central in August 2023. He made appearances in eight Premier League matches, scoring once, followed by loan spells with Sevilla and Espanyol in Spain.
Last July, Spurs sent the Argentina Under-20 international back to Rosario on a season-long loan. However, reports from Brazil suggest his future may be redirected towards joining the Manchester City network.

Recent updates indicate that Brazilian side Bahia is in advanced negotiations to sign the young striker, potentially truncating his loan back in Santa Fe.
“According to information obtained by UOL from sources close to the negotiation, an agreement in principle has already been reached with Tottenham,” writes Cesar Luis Merlo.
In the coming days, Tottenham is expected to seek to terminate the remaining six months of the striker's loan to Rosario Central to facilitate the transfer. The offer's value has not been disclosed, but it is considered notably high.
Veliz drew attention from Tottenham with 17 goals in 53 appearances in Argentina's top flight but struggled to find his footing under former head coach Ange Postecoglou.
His scoring tally included one goal across two loan spells to La Liga, during which he played 20 league games for Sevilla and Espanyol.
Staying in South America under the City Football Group could present opportunities for Veliz, offering regular first-team football.
Bahia, majority-owned by City Football Group since mid-2023, recently commenced their title defense with an impressive 4-2 victory over Jequie. Managed by legendary goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni, the team seeks to bolster its squad with promising strikers as they look to excel in the upcoming season.
