Two South Africans Up for 2025 CAF Goal of the Year!

Two South Africans, Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Refiloe Jane, have been nominated for the 2025 CAF Goal of the Year award.

Ndlondlo’s stunning strike during the CHAN tournament against Uganda and Jane’s spectacular goal in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations against Mali are among the 13 goals shortlisted as the best of the year.

The CAF Awards will take place on 19 November, with the venue yet to be confirmed.

Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has unveiled the nominees for the prestigious Goal of the Year category at the #CAFAwards25, with supporters once again getting the chance to help pick the winner.

Curated by a CAF Technical Panel, the shortlist features 13 goals scored in CAF competitions between 06 January 2025 and 15 October 2025, showcasing outstanding technique and big-moment finishes across the continent.

Voting opens on Thursday, 06 November and closes on Wednesday, 12 November 2025.

Fan votes will account for 100% of the final result, underlining this category’s unique status as the only CAF Award with direct public input.

The winner will be announced at the CAF Awards Gala, where CAF will honour players, coaches and teams whose performances defined the period under review.
