Arc Raiders players can embark on the exciting Communication Hideout quest located on the Buried City map. This quest challenges you to visit the Red Tower and perform a series of tasks to activate an antenna. If you’re looking to tackle this quest successfully, we've compiled all the necessary steps for you.
For this quest, you don’t need to extract, so feel free to bring a lighter loadout if you wish to play it safe, avoiding the loss of precious items during your adventure. The area near the Red Tower can yield some attractive loot, like in the Santa Maria houses, making it worth your while to come prepared.
When you're ready to start the Communication Hideout quest, follow the outlined steps below:
Reach the Red Tower in Old Town
Head to the Red Tower situated in the southern part of Buried City. Although it's generally a safe spot, be wary of raiders checking for security breaches in the vicinity.
Upon arrival, you’ll be prompted to locate a missing battery cell.
Find the missing battery cell
The essential battery cell is lying on the ground outside on the east side of the Red Tower, next to a nearby structure.
Once you interact with the box at this location, it will drop a battery cell that you can collect and transport to the generator nearby.
Install the battery cell in the generator
From the box, turn around 180 degrees to find a yellow generator box just a few steps away.
Insert the battery cell into the glowing blue slot on the generator, and then proceed to power it up.
Enable the power on the generator
Power up the generator by interacting with the activator on its side.
After this step, your main task will be to head up to the Red Tower and boot the antenna terminal.

Your final task involves entering the area just below the Red Tower. Start by jumping through the close window near the generator.
Next, ascend the stairs located inside.
Immediately upon reaching the top, turn right to exit through the damaged wall, revealing a yellow ladder that you can climb to get to the landing beneath the Red Tower.
Once on the landing, simply stroll around to locate the terminal.
Interact with the terminal to successfully conclude the quest. With the quest completed, you are free to explore more or extract at your leisure. Job well done, raider!
