Arc Raiders revolves around the thrill of looting and the excitement of surviving your journey back to Speranza. Each container discovered can hold valuable items that make your adventures worthwhile. So when you meet a Security Breach locker that you can't open, it's understandable to feel frustrated. However, with a bit of effort, you can learn how to unlock these lockers in your quest.
Unlocking Security Breach Lockers
To start accessing Security Breach lockers, you first need to acquire the Security Breach skill from the skill tree. Navigate to Raider > Skill Tree while you are in Speranza to get started.
The Security Breach skill is the last node on the Survival path, located on the right side of the skill tree. To unlock this skill, a total of 36 points must be allocated to the Survival path, which is a significant commitment.
Once you've secured the Security Breach skill—with your 37th skill point—you'll have the ability to breach any Security Breach locker scattered across the game world. You can also search through lockers that other players have already opened, although there’s a high chance they’ve already taken the best loot.
Is the Security Breach Skill Worthwhile?
Previously, the Security Breach skill was vital as lockers often contained high-value items like purple weapons. However, following updates by the developers, the drop rates for these items have significantly diminished. Thus, it's essential to consider if investing 37 points into the Survival tree remains beneficial.
Despite the nerfed drop rates, we believe investing in the Security Breach skill is still worthwhile. While you might not find purple rarity weapons as frequently, this skill provides rapid access to high-quality resources while you’re looting. Typically, the lockers contain green or blue weapons, ammunition, and a solid chance for gun parts or Mod Components, along with occasional purple weapons. Therefore, it’s always worth a peek.
Additionally, the Survival path encompasses numerous excellent skills that enhance looting speed, increase weight limits, and facilitate in-game crafting. Thus, investing points towards the Security Breach skill does not feel like a waste in the grand scheme of character development.
