Unveiling Pokémon Go's Exciting January 2026 Raid Lineup

Knowing the January 2026 raid schedule in Pokémon Go can help you complete a Pokédex entry, gather Mega Energy, or farm XP.

A new month brings a fresh selection of Legendary and Mega Evolutions to Pokémon Go raids, making it essential to stay updated on who is appearing and when. After all, you don't want to miss your chance to catch a Legendary Pokémon and have to wait years for their return! Consider participating in Shadow Raids as well.

Let’s dive into the January 2026 raid schedule for Pokémon Go, highlighting Legendary raids (five-star), Mega Raids, and Shadow Raids.

Don’t forget to check out the Spotlight Hour and Max Monday schedule.

Pokémon Go Legendary Raid Schedule for January 2026

Here's the five-star Legendary raid schedule for January 2026 in Pokémon Go:

From Monday, January 5th to Friday, January 16th, you'll have opportunities to encounter both Genesect Burn Drive and Genesect Chill Drive, both with shiny possibilities!

Following that, from Friday, January 16th to Sunday, January 25th, players can challenge Thundurus Incarnate Forme, also shiny eligible.

Finally, from Sunday, January 25th to Wednesday, February 4th, Tornadus Incarnate Forme will appear, giving players another chance to catch these important forms for their Pokédex!

Pokémon Go Mega Raid Schedule for January 2026

Check out the Mega Raid schedule for January 2026:

Players can participate in Mega Raids from Monday, January 5th to Friday, January 16th, featuring Mega Blaziken. Then, from Friday, January 16th to Sunday, January 25th, Mega Sceptile will take the spotlight, followed by Mega Ampharos from Sunday, January 25th to Wednesday, February 4th.

Remember, you won’t catch a Mega Pokémon during these raids; instead, you'll gain Mega Energy and encounter their regular forms!

January wraps up the Gen 3 starter Mega Evolutions, making it a great time to collect Mega Energy for Mega Sceptile, the top Grass-type Pokémon available.

Pokémon Go Shadow Raid Schedule for January 2026

Shadow Cresselia will be featured in 5-star Shadow Raids every weekend in January.

Shadow Cresselia has shiny potential!

Note, five-star Shadow Raids operate differently from regular ones as they occur exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays. Thus, planning is crucial if you're aiming for a Shadow Legendary.

Fortunately, it’s easier to strategize now that Remote Raid Passes are usable for Shadow Raids, though keep in mind their cost with PokéCoin.

Best of luck in your Pokémon Go raids! Be sure to check out our event schedule for the month as well.
