StarCraft may be making a triumphant return as reports suggest a new third-person shooter within Blizzard's iconic sci-fi universe is set to be unveiled at BlizzCon this September.
According to a recent report by Jez Corden, expectations surrounding Xbox for the year hint at a StarCraft shooter being a highlight of the fan convention. While specifics about the game are scarce, the existence of this project was initially noted in 2024 by Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier in his book entitled Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment. Leading the development of this new shooter is Dan Hay, a veteran from the Far Cry series.
Corden has confirmed the game's development through his own channels but has withheld any further details regarding its features or gameplay.
