Springbok prop Boan Venter will start Saturday’s Rugby Championship clash against the Pumas at Hollywoodbets Kings Park. This change comes after Ox Nche was withdrawn from the team due to a minor injury.

Nche’s absence has led to Venter, who was initially slated to be among the replacements, moving into the starting front row alongside Malcolm Marx and Thomas du Toit. Jan-Hendrik Wessels will now serve as the back-up prop, while Marco van Staden will provide hooker cover off the bench.

Both Wessels and Van Staden exhibit versatility with their ability to switch between positions, showcasing their adaptability during the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
