Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is back on sale for 50% off at Amazon and Walmart. Normally priced at $60, this exciting version is now available for only $30. This offer matches the price seen during the Christmas season, though the end date for the sale is currently unknown. Should both retailers run out of stock, you can still find Star Wars Outlaws for $40 at Target and Best Buy.
If you own a PS5, you can grab Star Wars Outlaws for $20 (was $50) at Amazon. It's worth noting that the Switch 2's Gold Edition comes with two story expansions and additional in-game content, while the PS5 and Xbox Series X physical versions only provide the base game.
The Gold Edition is the sole version available for Nintendo Switch 2. Upon the original release of Outlaws on PS5, Xbox, and PC, the Gold Edition retailed for $110, making the Switch 2 offering an incredible value when it launched in September.
This edition includes the Star Wars Outlaws Season Pass, granting access to two story expansions titled Wild Card and A Pirate's Fortune. Additionally, it offers a variety of extras, which you can find below:
- Star Wars Outlaws Game-Key Card
- Requires 19.4GB download
- Season Pass
- Story Expansion 1 - Wild Card
- Story Expansion 2 - A Pirate's Fortune
- Exclusive Mission - Jabba's Gambit
- The Kessel Runner Character Pack (Cosmetics)
- The Hunter's Legacy Bundle (Cosmetics)
- The Cartel Ronin Bundle (Cosmetics)
Star Wars Outlaws is delivered on a Game-Key Card, which necessitates a download of roughly 20GB. Initially, Ubisoft noted that keeping the game data on a Switch 2 card could harm performance, leading to the choice of the Game-Key Card format.
Performance-wise, Outlaws stands out as one of the strongest third-party titles available on Switch 2. It operates at a resolution of 1440p at 30fps in docked mode and 1080p at 30fps in handheld mode. Though graphics are downgraded compared to PS5, Xbox, and PC versions, Outlaws excels by utilizing DLSS, VRR, and ray-tracing to deliver impressive visuals and a consistent gaming experience between frame drops. Contrarily, we note that Star Wars Outlaws performs poorly on Steam Deck, being designated as "unsupported," making it impressive that Massive Entertainment managed to create an enjoyable portable experience on Switch 2.
