After recently announcing a delay to May 2026 for the highly anticipated title 007: First Light, IO Interactive has clarified the PC specifications necessary to run the game. In a statement on January 15, the studio acknowledged inaccuracies in their initial PC specs due to an "internal miscommunication."
IO Interactive updated their requirements after conducting extensive testing, stating that the recommended RAM was adjusted from 32GB to a more accessible 16GB, alongside other specifications including VRAM and minimum CPU updates. They expressed gratitude for the feedback received from the community.
The studio also revealed that they have collaborated closely with Nvidia to enhance the game's performance, utilizing technologies such as DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation to create a more immersive gaming experience.
The minimum specifications are designed for a relatively low-end setup, targeting 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second, without requiring an SSD. The recommended specs, aiming for 1080p at 60 frames per second, also remain within achievable limits for most gamers, though it remains unclear what ultra-settings might entail.
